EagleHawk Welcomes Engineer Interns for Summer 2021

EagleHawk is thrilled to be able to offer internships to active or recently graduated college students. Over the years EagleHawk has provided internships for engineering students – some who are now full-time team members – and this year is proud to offer internships for engineering and analytics as well as sales and marketing. Below you will meet EagleHawk’s two engineering interns for Summer 2021. Both happen to be from RIT where EagleHawk CEO Patrick Walsh is an alum. Welcome to the flock Jacob and Dan!

The wide applications of problems they can be used to solve across different industries. Also, they are flying robots, super cool!

What do you like to do in your free time?

Why were you interested in interning with EagleHawk?
I have an interest in aerospace/aeronautical technology. I want to supplement the courses I took in college with real applications. Drones are going to have a wider variety of purposes moving forward, so it is interesting to start learning about what technology currently exists.

What are you most looking forward to learning during your internship?
I look forward to gaining a better understanding of the applications and limitations of drone technology.

Why is it important to participate in an internship?
Internships are a great way to discover what you like and do not like about technologies, companies, and industries. It is a great way to gain experience that can bolster any previous classroom knowledge.

What is your favorite thing about drone technology?
There is a large potential for drone technology. There are so many applications for drones that have not been discovered.

What do you like to do in your free time?
I like to stay active. In college, I was on the RIT Crew Team, but I also enjoy hiking, running, and other recreational sports.
